1915 Buffalo Nickel. Proof-66 (PCGS). CAC. Satiny in appearance, (much like the earliest 1936 proof Buffalo nickels) but clearly nicer and better than any example struck for circulation. Fully defined with a high, sharp wire edge around both sides, and a moderate coating of steel-blue and honey-golden patina. Most importantly, the surfaces are immaculate, without a trace of a contact mark or spots on either side. Only 1,050 proofs were made in 1915, many of which have been lost or carelessly spent over the years. With the coveted CAC approval sticker this one is worthy of a very strong bid.
