1917-D Buffalo Nickel. MS-66 (PCGS). This attractively toned 1917-D would make a fitting addition to a high quality Buffalo nickel set. Smooth, satiny surfaces are enhanced by waves of iridescent gold, fuchsia and electric blue on the obverse. For the reverse we note subtle pink and powder blue undertones to dominant golden-gray patina. Quite scarce even in the finer circulated grades, the 1917-D is even more elusive with the combination of bold striking detail and Gem Mint State preservation offered here.
