1874 Shield Nickel. MS-66+ (PCGS). The strike is impressively full on this near-Superb 1874 Shield nickel. An absence of die cracks on either side indicates this was struck from a nearly new die pair. Frosty luster yields light champagne toning over each side, and as indicated from the grade assignment, there are no distracting abrasions or carbon spots. Conditionally rare and among the finest certified.
