1876 U.S. Centennial Exposition. Independence Hall Dollar. Copper. 38 mm. HK-43, Musante GW-916, Baker-394. Rarity-7. MS-64 BN (NGC).A satin to modestly semi-reflective example with plenty of original pinkish-orange color shining through an overlay of iridescent brown patina. The reverse is particularly vivid in appearance, although it also exhibits a small spot in the right field that seems to be the only impediment to a full Gem Mint State grade. Very scarce, per Musante (2016).
