BALLARD. / FOR / [illegible] JACK SCREWS / SEPT 1836. Similar to Harkness Ny-370, but using the reverse of Harkness Ny-50, a combination not listed in that reference. This wonderfully original example exhibits iridescent blue-gray highlights to otherwise dominant steel gray patina. Both sides retain much of the original reflective finish and the design elements are boldly to sharply struck. Several wispy handling marks and a few tiny surface digs are noted for accuracy.
