Some of the classic Treasury Department checks in different size, imprints, and color schemes. Includes five issued checks featuring one from Fort Laramie, WY dated 1864 (scarce); four receipts for surrender of interest bearing notes and interest paid, all 1865; seven different unissued Assistant Treasurers checks (two are sheets) and all colorful. Some of these are scarce types; most are essentially new. A few checks with typical cancels.
