Friedberg 111 (W-1291). 1880 $10 Legal Tender Note. PCGS Currency Superb Gem New 67 PPQ.Broad margins and darkly printed inks add to the appeal of this Superb Gem 1880 $10 Legal Tender Note. Roughly 9.2 million Tillman-Morgan-signed 1880 $10 Legal Tender Notes were printed, although only a few hundred are known to survive today. This variety has a red scalloped Treasury Seal at right and blue printed serial numbers. As noted above, these $10 Legal Tender Notes are popularly referred to as "Jackass Notes" due to the fact that the small eagle vignette at bottom resembles a donkey when inverted.
