Choice About Uncirculated.;<strong>Obv:</strong> Nude woman holding a winged globe, walking to the right with a bison. <strong>Rev:</strong> Natives of North and South America sharing a peace pipe. Edge: Three hallmarks, plus STERLING and GORHAM CO. This medal has an unusual "I" counterstamp beneath the names of the recipient and the sculptor, at 6 oclock on the obverse border. Issued to celebrated American photographer Arthur Hewett, who acted as the official photographer of the Exposition. The sculptor of the medal, Hermon MacNeil, later designed the Standing Liberty quarter. Warm pearly gray matte surfaces with only trivial contact marks. A beautiful and significant medal.;
