1871 Silver Three-Cent Piece. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC.Warmly and evenly toned in pearl-gray, the obverse is further enhanced by an overlay of mottled olive-russet iridescence. With full satin luster and a smooth appearance in hand, there is not much separating this PQ example from a full Gem Mint State grade. This late-date, Type Three trime is one of only 3,400 pieces struck for circulation in 1871, as the denomination had long since fallen out of favor in commerce.PCGS# 3692.
