1862 Silver Three-Cent Piece. MS-65+ (PCGS).Beautiful reddish-olive and steely olive-blue shades are splashed over smooth, satiny surfaces. Areas of brilliance persist on the obverse, and iridescent undertones of vivid colors are evident on both sides as the coin rotates under a light. The 1862 is the final issue for the silver three-cent denomination with a six-figure circulation strike mintage, and a popular type candidate to represent the Type III design. The present Gem would serve well in a high quality set.PCGS# 3680. NGC ID: 22ZB.From the Collection of James Allaire Millholland, 1842-1911.
