1877 Indian Cent. Proof-64 BN (PCGS). CAC.Wonderfully original surfaces exhibit a blend of deep copper, powder blue and pinkish-brown patina, the reverse particularly dramatic in appearance with a swath of the final-listed color horizontally bisecting the center. Faded mint rose is evident as the surfaces dip into a light, at which viewing angles one will also be treated to reflective qualities in the fields. Fully struck and nicely preserved, this is an ideal candidate for an advanced Proof Indian cent collection or, in lieu of a key date circulation strike 1877, a high quality date set of this type. Of course, 1877 Proofs are scarce to rare in their own right in the finest grades, as here.PCGS# 2318. NGC ID: 229W.CAC Population: 6; 9.From the Collection of James Allaire Millholland, 1842-1911.
