1793 Flowing Hair Cent. Wreath Reverse. S-11C. Rarity-3-. Lettered Edge--Reverse Planchet Flaw--VG-8 (PCGS).This handsome piece sports gentle marbling of olive-gray and golden-brown patina, the obverse a tad lighter than the reverse. Both sides are microporous, although not unusually so for the assigned grade. There are no sizeable marks, and a few faint pin scratches in the center of the obverse are also not out of context for a heavily circulated early date large cent. A fairly sizeable, yet shallow planchet flaw on the reverse is centered on the letter D in UNITED, which is visible, nonetheless. With all major design elements appreciable, even if some are faint, this is a respectable circulated example of an iconic one-year design type from the first year of large cent coinage.PCGS# 1350.
