A bit of deeper olive-russet over the upper right obverse is associated with ancient surface build up, insignificant for the assigned grade, especially since both sides are otherwise smooth with no marks of consequence. With all major design elements readily evident, and mostly quite bold, this is a desirable circulated early half cent for type, date or variety purposes.
