Issued by decree of 20 December 1834, suppressed 31 March 1837 (by decree of 1 February 1836). Countermark: Type VI, crowned Y.II. in incuse circle. Applied to the obverse of a 1834-LIMAE MM Peru Republic 8 Reales (KM-142.3). This example offers a subtly mottled gray patina with some subdued luster emanating in the protected areas of the reverse. The countermark is strong and complete.
