Svor-12; CPE-30; P-3976. In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; vertical thunderbolt in left field; below throne, ΔI below two struts. Though a slight degree of off-centering is noted on the obverse, all of the intricately engraved design elements are present, with the reverse being perfectly centered. A deep cobalt nature accentuates the bold obverse relief, while a subtle iridescence is present on the reverse, pairing quite well with the brilliant luster that radiates in the fields.
