Engraved Masonic Piece Fashioned out of an 1874-Dated Three-Dollar Gold Piece. The obverse of the host coin depicts a pictorial compass and square with the letter G in the middle, all enameled in cobalt blue. The fields are smooth and the coin’s original dentils create a border. There is a large loop attached at the top of the coin for suspension. A simple but elegant example of Masonic symbols engraved on a very scarce host coin! From the Steve M. Tompkins Collection.
