1889 Republique Centenaires, Salut Medal. Musante GW-1123, Douglas-41. Silver. MS-62 (PCGS).45 mm. A gorgeous example of this type, both sides exhibit vivid pinkish-apricot and powder blue undertones to dominant pewter-gray patina. Close inspection with a loupe allows ready appreciation of a finely textured finish which is most pronounced in the fields. Fully struck with outstanding visual appeal, this piece seems conservatively graded at the MS-62 level. Struck in connection with the centennial anniversary of the French Revolution.
