SALONINUS AS CAESAR, A.D. 258-260. AE Sestertius, Rome Mint, A.D. 258-260. NGC VG. RIC-32. Obverse: LIC COR SAL VALERIANVS N CAES, bareheaded, draped, cuirassed bust right; Reverse: PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS, Saloninus standing left, holding globus and scepter; captive at feet to left. Despite its rather rough and worn condition, this issue is incredibly RARE for the youthful Saloninus, the middle son of Gallienus and Salonina</em>, and it offers just enough in its legends to accurately pinpoint this attribution.
