OTHO, A.D. 69. AR Denarius (3.34 gms), Rome Mint, A.D. 69. ANACS EF 40. Altered Surfaces. RIC-8; RSC-17. Obverse: Bare head right; Reverse: Securitas standing left, holding wreath and scepter. Despite some likely cleaning and very minor pitting to the surfaces--accounting for the designation on the holder</em>--this lightly handled specimen presents better detail than is normally encountered for the type and offers a great portrait of this brief emperor from among the "twelve Caesars."
