1818 N-2 R4 NGC graded AU55. Glossy olive brown and chocolate with frosty lighter golden tan toning faded down from mint color in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and this cent is quite attractive, just lightly worn on the devices. No spots or stains, only trivial contact marks. A small pinprick over the left edge of the curl at the bottom of the neck can help identify this cent. E-MDS with a fine die crack through the top of UNITED ST. A very nice example of this tough die variety, and it comes with an important provenance. Our grade is VF35+. The attribution and Jules Reiver Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label. Pop 1; 1 graded higher in 61 at NGC for the variety. <DOTLEADER> Estimated Value $1,250 - UP <I><BR>Ex George Ramont 8/19/1971-Jules Reiver, Heritage Auctions 1/24/2006:19739 (as EAC EF45)-Chris McCawley 4/29/2011-Chuck Hall Collection.</I>
