1817 N-5 R3 PCGS graded AU53. Very attractive glossy medium chocolate brown and steel with some lighter brown in protected areas on the reverse. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only notable marks are a small nick on the bust, a short scratch on the right foot of the first T in STATES, and a tiny planchet flake under the left foot of the N in ONE. MDS. The dies are flowlined but the rim cud at star 1 has not formed. Our grade is EF40. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
