One of the great notes produced for the Confederacy by the Southern Bank Note Company of New Orleans, formerly an office of the American Bank Note Company. Minerva is seated to the left. Navigation is seated at center by a globe and charts. A blacksmith with hammer and anvil stands at right. Strong color remains in the red-orange tint of this 1861 Twenty.
