1859 Indian Cent. MS-64 (PCGS). This is a luminous chestnut-brown near-Gem with somewhat mottled russet color in the fields. The design elements are well-struck and eye appeal is outstanding for the grade. A couple of tiny contact marks are noted on the cheek, these being the grade-limiting factors. The Laurel Wreath reverse was used only in 1859, the debut year of the Indian cent. A very desirable type coin.
