1906 United States Assay Commission Medal. Silver. 40 mm x 55 mm, plaque. By Charles E. Barber and George T. Morgan. JK AC-50a. Rarity-5. MS-62 (NGC). Mottled steel-olive and mauve-gray patina is seen on the obverse, while the reverse is more evenly patinated in bold pewter gray. Boldly defined throughout with a smooth appearance that is suggestive of a Choice Mint State grade.This issue features C.E. Barbers "standard" portrait of President Theodore Roosevelt, different from the 1904 bust by Morgan.
