The 1905 Assay Commission medal features an attractive and popular design, repeating that of the preceding year with the bust of President Theodore Roosevelt on the obverse and a small Treasury seal above a laurel branch on the reverse. According to the Julian-Keusch reference, only 10 silver medals were originally produced, all delivered on March 2, 1905, well after the meeting of the Commission.
