Obv: Seated right-facing image of Cleveland, Ohio mechanical engineer Ambrose Swasey (1846-1937) in pillared frame. The lower edge is engraved .34. Swasey came to Cleveland in 1881, perfected turret lathes, precision astronomical and scientific instruments and telescopes. He was also an active numismatist.
