Just a single $5-$5-$10-$20 sheet of Proofs from this rare Oxford bank were featured in the ABNC sale as part of lot #1623. This is the Plate B $5 and it displays brilliant color and impressive security protectors. The plate impression is bold and fully framed. In early 1865, this bank gained its charter and became the National Bank of Oxford, charter #728. Two years ago, in our ANA sale, we sold this same note for $2,820. An incredibly rare proof and no doubt a title missing from many collections.
