1902加州普莱斯维尔20美元 PMG VF 20
Placerville, California. $5 1902 Plain Back. Fr. 608. The Placerville NB. Charter #12056. PMG Very Fine 20 Net. Restoration.Placerville is located in El Dorado County in northern California and is best known for its impact during the California Gold Rush in the early to mid 1850s. Placerville had just one issuing bank which opened its doors in December of 1921. The bank issued just a tad over $580,000 and closed its doors just prior to the end of the National Banking Era in 1934. At the time of close only $1,660 remained outstanding, so it is no surprise that only 12 large size notes are reported to the National Bank Note Census. This serial number 1 note is seen with professional restoration of the margins, as PMG comments "Restoration". The cashier signature has completely faded over the years, but the Vice presidents is extremely clear. None the less, a rare and desirable serial number and bank. pp
