1903-O Barber Half Dollar. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC.A delightful Gem having frosty motifs and boldly lustrous fields. Warmly and beautifully toned in blended gold, peach, and blue. Sharply struck as well, an unusual feature coming out of the New Orleans Mint. This conditionally challenging issue is scarce any finer than MS-64 and there are only four examples graded any higher than MS-66 at both PCGS or NGC; 3 in MS-66+ as here, and a single example at MS-67. A prize for a numismatist who appreciates superlative quality.
