1924-S Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-67 (PCGS). CAC.A richly toned Superb Gem example of this condition rarity with blended gold, sea-green, cobalt and rose surfaces. The luster is pearly and undisturbed by blemishes of any sort, with evidence of die polishing visible around the central elements on each side. Libertys head is impressively intricate, despite falling just short of the Full Head designation. With a mintage of 2.8 million pieces, the 1924-S is of unremarkable scarcity in circulated grades but remains remarkably scarce in Mint State preservation. The present piece is representative of the finest examples graded by PCGS, tied with just eight other coins in MS-67.
