1894-O Barber Half Dollar. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC.A truly stunning example with vivid blue at the peripheries with subtle rose tones blending in with largely brilliant centers. The strike is bold to sharp throughout, and the luster is strong. The 1894-O is one of the more readily obtainable New Orleans Mint Barber half dollars in Mint State, but even Choice examples are scarce, and Gems or finer are rare. There are only three examples known at MS-66+, and just three finer, through MS-68. High quality Barber halves from the New Orleans Mint are always well received by collectors, and this will be no exception.
