Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. $10 1902 Red Seal. Fr. 613. The NB. Charter #674. Very Fine.A relatively scarce Chester County bank, with this example being the only reported Red Seal on the bank. The National Bank of Phoenixville was one of the most successful financial institutions during the National Banking era as it opened in 1864 and in 1932 the Farmers and Mechanics bank of Phoenixville assumed circulation. Wonderful signatures are noted along with a cherry red seal and strong serial numbers.
