PCGS Currency Very Fine 30.This is just the fifth large note seen from this popularly collected Montgomery County bank. Chartered in 1875, the Hatboro National Bank issued $510,740 in notes through the end of the National Currency issuing era in 1935. By then just $1,290 in large notes were outstanding on the bank. This bright Five is broadly margined and beautifully signed in bold handwritten inks. It appears the note never truly circulated but was folded and saved for posterity after issue. Just three vertical folds and a horizontal fold are noticed.
