Haxby just listed a $5 and $10 design for this rare bank which became the Mifflin County National Bank of Lewiston, charter #1579. This is the Haxby plate example for the $5 denomination. The $10 is listed as SENC. Acquired by our consignor as lot #865 of the January 2009 offering from the Schingoethe Collection. Small repair on the back left edge, minor mounting remnants also seen on the back. We have not been able to trace another public offering of a note from this bank.
