Jeffersonville, Virginia. Trans-Alleghany Bank of Virginia. November 19, 1853. $100. PCGS Very Fine 35 Apparent. Small Edge Tear at Upper Right Corner.;(VA 440-G10) Danforth, Wright & Co. New York & Phil. An illustrious obsolete hundred that should warm the collector heart of any serious Virginia Obsolete collector. A very common issue to be sure, but this $100 note believed to be possibly unique. This denomination listed in Haxby only in Proof form. We cannot recall having ever seen one. A nearly invisible edge tear is seen near the upper right corner. Not like the plethora of remainders seen but fully issued. Fully framed with just a modicum of light folds. Superior aesthetic charms will follow this note wherever it goes. The ultimate in rarity with grade to match. A must have that will be irreplaceable once it sells this evening.
