1797 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-71, B-3. Rarity-2. Stars 10x6. VF-35 (PCGS). OGH.;Pleasing antique silver patina with champagne and blue-green undertones. The surfaces are choice in-hand with no marks to mention aside from some adjustment marks (as struck) behind and above LIBERTY on the obverse. June 1, 1796 marked the admission of Tennessee to the Union, and its membership prompted a 16th obverse star on certain varieties of the silver half dimes, dimes, and half dollars of the year, but not on the quarter dollar (15 stars) or the dollar coinage; the 16th star was added to the latter denomination in 1797. The present specimen, choice for the assigned grade, would be a welcomed addition to an early dollar set or an advanced type set.;
