The surfaces are impressively composed, spared from the bagmarks and similar abrasions that are expected at this grade level. Narrow clouds of satiny luster surround the design elements, further testifying to the satisfying preservation of this delightful piece. <p>An issue that needs no introduction among specialists, the 1893-S is the rarest circulation strike in the popular Morgan silver dollar series. Only 100,000 coins were produced and these suffering an unusually high rate of circulation for a dollar of this type; most survivors are heavily worn. About Uncirculated examples are very scarce and their desirability is enhanced by the extreme rarity of the 1893-S in Mint State. For most collectors of high grade Morgan dollars, the present example represents the finest in quality that market availability and budgetary considerations will allow.
