1869 John Adams Bolen Store Card. Musante JAB-35, Rulau Ma-Sp 50. White Metal, Silvered. MS-63 (NGC).25.3 mm. Deep gray with subtle mottled rose, steel and champagne toning in the silvered surfaces. Where the radial metal flow was most aggressive, close to the peripheral elements, brilliant silver outlines are seen indicating the planchet was silvered prior to striking. One of 50 said to have been struck in this composition and Bolens final business card.From the Claremont Collection.
