Variety with small, open (pentagram/crisscross) stars. Surpassed in the PCGS census by just a single example, this incredibly impressive and <strong>EXCEPTIONALLY RARE</strong> "hammer & sickle" Dollar presents a fairly clear and crisp strike throughout, with just a touch of weakness evident near the "one" character in the date. Featuring the open or "pentagram" style stars, <em>of which this is the smaller-sized version</em>, this specimen displays a type that is not often encountered in the market, and represents the first such instance of the open stars version that we have offered, be they large or small.
