CANADA. Molsons Bank. 5 Dollars, 3.7.1922. CH# 490-40-02. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. Perhaps the most common note in high grade for this bank, which started as a brewery in Montreal before engaging in the banking business (because thats typically what breweries do). According to Charlton, most of the notes of this type were saved by a local coin dealer in the 1960s. Printed by the British American Bank Note Co. Ottawa, with the portrait of F.W. Molson at right. A nice example that would have surely received a Gem Uncirculated grade if the front centering was better.
