(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 100 Cash, ND (ca. March 1854-July 1855). Board of Works Mint, New branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded "Genuine" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company. Hartill-22.762; FD-2445. Weight: 45.3 gms. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Bai". This wholesome and charming example displays light attractive mottled brassy patina with richer coloration throughout and minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. The characters are well-formed exhibiting good definition with much of the naturally rough surface texture remaining. Close inspection reveals flan crack in the lower right quadrant accounting for the "Genuine" designation. Despite its shortcoming a pleasing example of this large format issue.
