(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Shaanxi. 100 Cash, ND (1851-61). Xian Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded "Genuine" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company. Hartill-22.950. Weight: 67.9 gms. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao;" Reverse: "Dang Bai". This decently preserved example displays rich attractive brown patina with minor earthen deposits in the crevasses. The characters are well formed and the surfaces retain much of their naturally rough texture. Close inspection reveals evidence of attempted debris removal on the obverse below "Xian", which probably accounts for the "Genuine" designation. None the less a handsome example of the type with a pleasing appearance.
