(t) CHINA. Warring States Period. State of Qi. Three Character Knife Money, ND (ca. 400-220 B.C.). Graded "Genuine" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company. Hartill-4.6; DCD-397; S-45. Weight: 36.8 gms. Obverse: "Qi Fa Hua" (Qi legal money); Reverse: "Tu" or "Shi". This decently preserved example displays rich green patina with minor earthen deposits throughout. The surfaces exhibits moderate smoothing, as commonly encountered on these issues, from long ago. Unfortunately, due to the fragile nature of these issues the tip has broken off. Despite its shortcomings a presentable example of this staple of Ancient Chinese numismatics.
