Variety with Fou bao and seven stroke bei. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Qian". This charming large size issue exhibits lovely brown patina with lighter coloration in the exposed areas and high points. The characters are bold and well-formed while the fields are relatively smooth, they do show signs of tasteful smoothing. Despite its shortcomings a handsome example of this sought after type with a pleasing appearance.
