Variant without the designers "signature" J R SINNOCK inscribed along the left obverse border. Finer than the Choice Mint State example in the Keusch Collection (Stacks, November 2008, lot 5328), this lovely Gem offers silky smooth surfaces and delightful deep antique golden-bronze patina. The design features are smartly impressed. One of the more popular Assay Commission medals, the obverse design of the 1932 was prepared in commemoration of the bicentennial of George Washingtons birth in 1732. Only 25 bronze impressions were produced, all of which were delivered on February 17 of that year.
