About Uncirculated, Light PVC Residue. 32 mm, medal only, 99 mm x 41.8 mm including red ribbon and hanger with three bars marked DENVER, MARYLAND and SOUTH DAKOTA. The central reverse of the medal is inscribed C.S.C. / NO.. 13395. / AUGUST / J. SEVERIN. / U.S.S. / SYLPH. / AUG. 4. 1901. Well preserved overall with minimal signs of handling, original toning to the medal and bars, light PVC residue that is most noticeable on the edge. These are unusual bars for a medal of this type.
