CHINA. Hupeh. 7.2 Candareens (10 Cents), ND (1895-1907). PCGS MS-64. L&M-185; K-43; KM-Y-124.1; WS-0885. Highly enticing, with brazen silky surfaces that remain mostly argent aside from expressing a touch of gentle amber tone most notable on the character side. Crisp detail is visible in the dragons face, an area that usually betrays some weakness. While somewhat common in lower grades, this Near-Gem piece outshines most other survivors because of its excellent preservation and originality.
