The Glass Works was awarded a special medal authorized by the United States Congress for their exhibit at the Exhibition. Along with the medal, they were presented with an engraved diploma printed by the United States Treasury Departments Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The diploma itself was designed and engraved by Will Low and Charles Schlecht who are perhaps more famous for their work on the 1896 $1 Educational Silver Certificates. An example of the diploma may be found in Gene Hesslers <em>The Engravers Line</em>, on page 206. This lot is the invitation only. There is no medal or diploma included.
