1946-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-67+ (NGC). CAC. The 1946-D exists in large numbers, right through the Premium Gem level of preservation. The certified population drops significantly at the MS67 (and higher) levels, however. Orange-gold, jade-green, deep blue, and yellow-gold toning are liberally splashed over the obverse, and frames the outer regions of the reverse. This well-struck piece probably was an "end coin" in a paper roll for many years and has been impeccably well preserved. The CAC sticker affirms the pleasing eye appeal. <p>
