Signed by Frederick Kuhl and Anthony Morris Jr. An amply margined and darkly printed November 29, 1775 $7 signed by two significant personalities in the early American colonies. Frederick Kuhl was a prominent Philadelphia citizen and a member of the Pennsylvania state constitutional convention in 1776. He was also the brother-in-law of the first United States Treasurer Michael Hillegas. Anthony Morris Jr.s grandfather and great-grandfather had both served as mayor of Philadelphia. Morris was a captain in the Philadelphia Light Horse Troop who served as bodyguard to General Washington in 1776 and 1777. Morris was killed at the Battle of Princeton on January 3, 1777. The note itself is darkly inked and printed in vivid detail. The signatures of Kuhl and Morris are neatly penned and clearly legible. The paper is choice, bright and free of any distracting characteristics.
